Rockhold Karate on TikTok...Wait, What!?!

About a year ago I begrudgingly put Rockhold Karate on TikTok. Wait..What!?! I know, I know, I know what I said before. But as a business owner that started during a housing bust, hunkered through a recession (or two?) and survived a freaking pandemic by being able to adapt and utilize all available tools. Social media overload, yes, but a very necessary set of business tools that any business owner should be using if they want their business to grow.

Unfortunately, I think a waited a year longer than I should have to get onto the TikTok platform. But data has an interesting way of pointing out the obvious, I was just annoyed I needed to learn yet another social media platform tool.

"But you're too old to be on"...I'm am GenX, didn't ask and don't care, nuff said. Moving on.

Now the next big question was what the heck am I going to do with TikTok? First priority was to explore it and figure out how it works. Turns out perusing and using it was pretty user friendly, dang it. Second was how I was going to integrate it into Rockhold Karate's social media workflow. A year later and it's still a work in progress. Give me a break, I am the whole social media department. Third is what am I going to do with it? Haven't really figured that out yet. Dude, you've been on there for a year...yeah and. Anyway, I would say at this stage that @RockholdKarate TikTok is more of a creative outlet. Meaning I use it to beta test out whatever, camera tricks, drills, workouts, tips, random weird videos, oh an lots of videos with filter effects being used on Century Martial Arts BOB, poor BOB.

Rockhold Karate on TikTok

Turns out my experience has been surprisingly pretty positive. The occasional hater, probably just a bot though, blocked and forgotten quickly. No time for negativity. I have gotten into live streaming more on TikTok, mainly to figure out how it works. The cool part about live streaming on TikTok is I've had some pretty cool discussions with other martial artists around the world and have a couple of them live stream with me. So I guess it turns out I like TikTok more than some of the other platforms, who knew.

Anyway, if you happen to be on TikTok too, be sure to follow Rockhold Karate on TikTok while you are there.
