Inspired by the Korean Traditional Archery of the Kummooyeh program, Chris Rockhold became a Certified USA Archery Level III NTS Coach. USA Archery is the National Governing Body for the Olympic sport of archery in the United States. USA Archery selects and trains Olympic, Paralympic, World Championship, and World Cup teams, as well as developing archery at the grassroots level across the United States. The Rockhold Archery Program is for beginning, intermediate, and advanced archers Ages 8 and Up. Safety rules, familiarization with archery epuipment, the steps of shooting, and target shooting.
Rockhold Archery Club is now offering regularly scheduled Archery Classes on Monday and Friday in addition to the Saturday class. Rockhold Archery Club is offered as a $25 drop-in class or $125 monthly membership. Space is limited. Closed toed shoes Required.
The Archery for Homeschoolers started off as a pilot program for Rockhold Archery. The class is a huge success in bringing archery instruction to the homeschool community. Archery for Homeschoolers is for ages 8 to 18 and is offered as a $25 drop-in class or $75 monthly membership. Space is Limited. Closed toed shoes Required.
Explore Archery at Rockhold Archery is fun and a perfect fit for archers of any age or ability wanting to get involved in the sport of target archery. If you are new to the sport of archery or a beginner archer looking for an introductory program to sign up for, Explore Archery at Rockhold Archery has what you need to get started! You'll learn important skills like range safety and proper shooting form, play exciting games and earn achievement awards.
USA Archery and the Archery Trade Association developed the Explore Archery Program with the support of the Easton Foundations. This program is also supported by the National Field Archery Association (NFAA) and Archery Shooters’ Association(ASA).
Together, we believe that Explore Archery will serve as a foundation for the development of community based archery programs nationwide and will help grow a new generation of archery enthusiasts and Olympic, Paralympic and World Champions!
JOAD at Rockhold Archery offers both recurve and compound archers the opportunity to learn range safety and proper shooting technique in an environment that also fosters focus, increased self-confidence, and team building skills. JOAD is open to any youth archer aged 8 to 20 and is designed to grow with the youth archer. Introductory JOAD classes teach the fundamentals of proper shooting form; as the young archer develops, they will learn more advanced techniques.
JOAD at Rockhold Archery offer both recurve and compound training and most clubs have rental equipment so that you can try archery first before investing in equipment. Rockhold Archery is led by Chris Rockhold, USA Archery Certified Level III NTS Coach, and is bound by SafeSport requirements.
Whether your child's interest is purely recreational or an Olympic, Paralympic or World Championship dream, USA Archery's JOAD program is tailored to help the young archer achieve their goals.
The Adult Archery Program at Rockhold Archery allows adults to learn proper shooting technique, achieve awards based on score, and pursue competition if they wish, during a series of classes taught by a certified coach or instructor.
Similar in scope to the Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) program, the Adult Archery Program at Rockhold Archery is a logical “next step” for adult archers pursuing this lifetime sport.
In addition to receiving clear instruction and coaching via USA Archery's National Training System, membership in an archery program provides unique benefits to adults, including the opportunity to make new friends, a great upper-body workout, and the chance to build self-confidence, and learn team-building skills.

Kummooyeh is the way of the Korean Sword Martial Art and Korean Traditional Archery. Kummooyeh is composed of many types of training, such as meditation, basic movements, sword patterns, cutting, sparring techniques and Korean traditional archery. Each type has a different purpose for developing Kumooyeh students. Korean Traditional Archery is called Gungdo 궁도. Gungsul 궁술, also means "skill with the bow" or "techniques with the bow."
